wow! apt timing. with the thirteenth edition of the kolkata film festival knocking on the doors, it is really gr8 to have the three hollywood giants featured on your blog. i haven't seen half as many as the films listed though...... i wish i catch up with u, buddy!
Awesome selections............ all might not be gems though... but they are worth watching for their makers, surely!
By the way, the maximum number of movies U have seen (from the ones featured here) are by Spielberg! Does that suggest that U have a real soft spot for his kinda films?
Cool, man! A real treat for all the film buffs on the occasion of 13th Kolkata Film Festival. I wish this year's fest had more of Indie flicks from America, though.

Thank you folks, for your warm response to my blogpost. I am looking forward to many more listings in the future, to include many other favorite filmmakers of mine.
Let me also include a few words about the personal favorites from the three creators featured in this very post. The Hitchcockian favorites are 'Vertigo', 'Psycho', 'Strangers on a Train' and 'Rear Window'.
All of Martin Scorsese's films are my favorites, bur still the one that captivated me the most was 'The Departed', his latest.
Steven Spielberg is another all-time favorite of mine and yet if I have to name one film that tops my list is 'Schindler's List' (and on this one even his harshest critics would have to hail his genius).
